I think you have a point. Granted I am no economist either, in fact I'm a social worker! But the issue as you put it does not make sense. I would rather pay more upfront, knowing I am helping someone sustain a living, then wondering where all my tax money is going. Its really a shame that a community can not support one another and instead it has to be funneled through the government. That's the way I look at it anyway. We pay people more at their job and its like handing money across the counter (in fact, it is passing it across). We pay people through welfare, etc. its like shipping it through a maze to get it to the same person. Its crazy! I wonder if it would help if we knew more about the people who serve us, make our close, etc. I had the idea tonight, when grabbing my bathrobe. I thought, "I have no idea who made this. Or even if they liked making it." I think it would be a great idea for businesses to profile their employees through video and make the work they do a little more personal, heck, even if they are just running a machine! Anyway, back to the point. I do intentionally choose to shop/eat at places where I know the employees get paid better and are given more professional development too (cause that can be just as good as cash).

Re: The Truth About Fast Fashion

I love the idea of more companies moving business to the US and companies like F&T starting up their business, from the ground up, in the US. As the previous comment states, most customers are going to have to think twice about the prices for everyday apparel. Unfortunately that's not something most people can just overlook. However, I always tell myself "baby steps" and I don't think this revolution is going to happen overnight. If we all start by incorporating US manufactured goods into our lives, little by little, the difference we'll make is going to be huge. And the rest shall follow.

Re: The Truth About Fast Fashion

I wholly support manufacturing in the US. The only issue is that the average customer cannot afford the high proces to purchase US made goods, even those sold by Flint and Timber.
Are Flint & Timber mens pants and shirts made for the average bulky American? I am more slender and always have a hard time finding well-made athletic fit clothing. I hope you will take this into consideration. Do you guys plan on doing selvedge denim with a button fly? Button flies are the best
2. I tried calling the phone number up top to ask this question, but it was disconnected. You probably don't want a disconnected phone number on your web page.

Re: Branding and Identity (the agency test)

I believe that the best branding you can get is by standing by your product and your business. When I heard about your company on GMA, I was really interested. I then looked at the products and liked what I saw. I placed an order and waited for my products. However, I did not get them! I did get an email stating how busy you were and how you did not plan for this publicity event as you should. And, instead of mailing my product after 1 business day, you could not do that!? In addition, you could not do it this week either!? You would not get to it until mid of next week. This is 6.5 business days more than the promised 1 business day. I have now missed my man's birthday and you are saying you will also miss my wedding - when I wanted him to wear them. What is up with that??? Worse off, is that the email did not even apologize!??? It was like an email stating how proud you were for selling so many pairs during the event. How you did not realize that you had really miss planned for the event. It was like I was an employee, not a paying customer that now can only see your brand as totally lacking in promises, good will, and other points. Yes, I am upset!! And, I hope you realize that your company has not performed as it should and stop sending out emails like that and get on your butt and hire some people to make sure you keep your promise and take care of us customers that you have treated wrong and insulted by such an email!!! Otherwise, we will not be customers and you will have not brand to use a stamp with!

Re: Branding and Identity (the agency test)

Is the ink Water proof?

I have a habit of getting business cards wet.

Re: National Safety Council Posters

Life IS worth listening to... Who ever said there's anything wrong w a stamp and kraft cards, especially when it works w the vibe of your brand? My (unsolicited) suggestion: how about throwing that hot logo from your website on the stamp? Doesn't cost too much more through the right vendor, you get rolling on consistency of your brand image, and you can keep the satisfying cu-ching of the equipment.

Re: Branding and Identity (the agency test)

awesome idea!

Re: Branding and Identity (the agency test)

Links to stamp company and etsy cards would be awesome!

Re: Branding and Identity (the agency test)

The simplicity of your business cad, packaging, product values, etc. makes up your branding. You may not need a marketing firm now, but at some point the word-of-mouth growth will slow, and you'll need to widen the net. That's when a responsible, serious ROI driven firm will help you grow.
